Lending Qualifications

These vary depending on the lender, but these are their general requirements. A prospective borrower must:

• Be an Australian Citizen or a Permanent resident
• Hold an Australian Drivers Licence (not a Learners permit)
• Have permanent employment
• Not bankrupt (including discharged bankrupts)
• No unpaid overdue accounts
• Ability to meet the repayments
• Satisfactory credit history
